Phantom of the Opera---OR

Phantom of the Opera is a story about a man who was diformed at birth, and now lives underneath the opera house in Paris. Christine Daae, daughter of a famous swedish violinist, works in the operas, no body really knows what an amazingvoice she has, though--only the phantom. Over the last few years or so, it is said that she has been taking lessons from the phantom, yet she has never seen his face because it is all done within her dreams. When asked who her tutor is, Christine just says it is the "Angel of Music." She finally meets this angel after one of her performances at the opera in which she was the lead (the woman who usual is the lead, Carlotta, quit mid-rehersals). The phantom then comes to Christine through a mirror in her dressing room and takes her down to his layer. He almost "posses" her in a way because she falls into a trace. She spends the night down there with him, and when she wakes, she is frightened for she doesn't know where she is. The phantom then takes her back to the opera house where she then meets her fiance, Raoul.

Breaking Dawn OR post #59

Once the Volturi came, the Cullens went after them. They faught for days. Bella continued to get more and more worried as the days contiuned. Finally, after 4 days, the Voltuir surrendered to the Cullens leaving the victorious in the Battle.
When it was all over, Bella ran to Edward and they just hugged for a really long time. Then, Reneesme came and hugged her parents. The three of them were so happy, because now, they could finally be a family and be together forever.
They final scene you read of them in Edwrad and Bella lying in bed together, talking about Renesme and how they are palnniong on raising her and what not. The final words that Edwrad says are "We have plenty of time to work on that" and Bella replies "Forever. and then Edward says "Forever and ever." They end kissing each other.

I was very happy with the Twilight series. It was by far one of my favorites. Of the four books, I preferred Twilight the best. This is because I liked how the main focus of the book was on their relationship and not on whos attacking who. The other books were very good also, but I just prefer the first book.

Slaughterhouse Five---post #48

For my choice reading, I choose Slaughterhouse Five. It is a good book in my opinion. Basically, it is about Kurt Vonnegut, or "Yon Yonson" (name he calls himself in the book) writing baout his time at Dresdin during the war. He had this friend, Billy Pilgrim, during the war. He is a very interesting character. He is now a middle aged, metally ill man. The reaosn for his mental illness is that he was in a car accident years back. Now, he had very frequent flashbacks of the war and other events that took place during his life. Another thing he often speaks of though is his kidnapping by the Tralfamadorians. They are like space aliens, but humans, and they come from a place called Tralfamadore. They some how "kidnapped" Billy and took him to their planet during his time at Dresdin. Obviously, this is not true. But for some reason or another, probebly because of his mental illness, he thinks otherwise. HIs daughter is always worring about him. She often comes home looking for him, but she won't find him for maybe 20 minutes because he is off hiding somewhere. This could become a serious issue in Billy Pilgrims life, and the novel for that matter.

breaking dawn post #47

The Volturi are about to come to Forks. Bella meets up with J.Jenks one last time to finalize the papers, for she thinks that she and her family are not going to live through this fight. When the day final comes, Bella and Edward have a talk. They tell eachother how much they love eachother, and that no matter what happens, that they will always be together. Bella gets nervous when Carlise first approaches the Volturi. He at first made it casual, like he was seeing an old freind for the first time in years. They then begin to discuss the whole reason they came, Renesmee. Aro, the head vampire, states that another vampire had told him that Renesmee was a baby, but that he now was confused because she looked like a mature 6 year old. Carlise proceeded to tell him and the rest of the Volturi that Renesme was not immortal, yet she was not a vampire either, and that was why she looked and did things the way she did. Aro still was confused, but just went along with it. Then, it was Edward's turn to confront Aro. It was different with him though because they didn't speak, they just looked at eachother, somberly. Stepenie Meyer writes that "all of the thoughts and feelings Edward had had over the years of many people all were now put into Aro's thought and feelings." The chapter ends with the two staring blankly into eachothers eyes, and Edward had a sneer upon his face.

BREAKING DAWN OR-POST #46

The Volturi is getting closer every day, and the Cullens are getting more farfull every day. 2 more vampire covins have entered the novel, the australians and the bulgarians. They are also living with the Cullens. Just like the other vampires, they fear Renesmee for several reasons: she is half human half vamp, she is growing so fast its hard to keep up with her, and she always knows whats going on.
It is Christmas time, and Bella hadn't even begun to think about a gift for Renesmee or Charlie. Fortunately, Edward had special ordered a new tv for Charlie, but Renesmee still had no gift. While Bella was out getting her paper (birth certificates, licences, etc.) printed (because she thinks she and her family are going to die), she saw the perfect gift in a shop window: a golden locket. She bought it, and when she got home she showed it to Edward. It was a circular locket that opened, and inside there was a spot for a picture, and something along the lines of "greater than my life" engraved on the other side in french.
Renesmee loved it. Along with the locket, Edward also had bought her an mp3 player, contained already 500 of Edward's favorite songs. From Jacob, she received a Qualitte braided version of a promise ring. Edward on the other hand was not a huge fan of this gift, but to Bella it was the greatest gift of all.

BREAKING DAWN--OR #1, POST #45

As I continue to read the novel, Breaking Dawn, the more I feel sorry for Bella. I always have thought that she was kind of a sad sack, but now I'm reazling that she just has alot of self isteem issues! Since she had Renesmee, things have just gone down hill for her and her family. An old vampire from the Volturi saw her and Jacob in the woods one day. She then ran and told the Volturi and now they are coming to try and kill not only Renesmee, but the whole Cullen pack. Since this incident, Carlise has contacted many of his vampire relations to come out and help. As the more enter the novel, the stranger they get. The first vampires that come to meet the Cullens are from California. They are sweet, but a bit stand-off-ish...especially to Renesmee at first. They believe she is abnormal...which she is! She's half vampire, half human! As more and more vampires come, things get worse. Every day the Volturi are getting closer to Forks. As Bella, Edward, and the rest of the family plan for this event, Renesmee is getting to know the many vampire she now must deal with. On the other hand, the vampires are learning how to deal with Renesmee. Will they ever accept her? Will the Voturi accept her?

Overcoming odds #44

"Reflection" -Anonoymous
http://poeticflavor.com/overcoming-odds/cat.html

And it said to her,
"Look up.
I'm beautiful,
And I'm a reflection
Of you.

"It smiled down and
It lit the way,
And as she began to cry,
It began to rain.
The tears streamed down,
The thunder crashed,
And suddenly,
She felt the urge
To fly away forever,
Maybe go somewhere
More beautiful than she,
And take it inIn gasps of awe,
Without ever knowing
That it wasn't real.
She can feel her bones here,
The weight of all her sorrow,
Jabbing her body
And beating itInto submission.

So when it smiles,
It smiles inside
So no one else can see,
And so does she.

This poem is about overcoming odds. It is about a young girl seeing herself in the mirror and not being happy with what she sees. She trys to overcome the fact that she is not pleased, but it does not work. I feel as thought she then trys to run away to from her issues, but they just keep coming back to haunt her. I am glad that I do not have any issues as such. This is a serious problem that many people, especially girls deal with every day. If girls have problems like this, I think they should talk to someone about it, because they could end up doing bad things to themselves if their self esteem lowers to far.
