Tornadoes are one of the world many natural diasters. A tornado starts in a severe thunderstorm called a supercell. A supercell can last longer than a regular thunderstorm. The same property that keeps the storm going also produces most tornadoes. The wind coming into the storm starts to swirl and forms a funnel. The air in the funnel spins faster and faster and creates a very low pressure area which sucks more air into it. Tornadoes most often form when cold dry polar air meets warm moist tropical air. They are most commonly, and most violentsly found east of the Rocky Mountains. In an average year, 800 tornadoes are found nationwide, resulting in 80 deaths and over 1,500 injuries. The most violent tornadoes often have winds at 250 mls/hour.

In my opinion, tornadoes are a very scary kind of storm. We Minnesotans have experienced multiple tornadoes, and many of them have been quite destructive. Ive known people whos houses have been destroyed because of them, or have gotten hurt because of them. Tornadoes need to be properly prepared for so these kind of disasters can be prevented. In the past, we have been ok, but its always good to be safe.

Since Bella had her baby, she has become a vampire. Stephenie Meyer describes her transformation process very well. She writes that there is a burning inside of her, like a fire that cannot be put out. The pain is excruciating and unbarable.
When the pain is over, Bella is asked to look at herself in the mirror. She does, but finds not the Bella she used to know. This new Bella was beautiful. She had pale white skin, and choclate brown hair and eyes. He voice rang like a bell. The only real problem was her eyes...they were red. Edward told her that this was only because she was a new vampire, and that it should go away after her first hunt.
That was the next thing on the list. Bella needed to hunt. Edward and she went into the woods and began, but Bella found it extremley hard to do, and eventually just quit. Edward was surprised by how turned off she was and how able she was to not go after anything. This was not normal for a new vampire. It is something only a vampire that has had years of experience is able to do, if that. Bella was starting out strong, but would it continue?

Song: "Fifteen" By Taylor Swift OR #28

The song 'Fifteen' talks about entering a whole new way of life. It begins talking about entering the doors of the high school on your very first day of your freshman year. There are lines descrbing when you first meet your soon to be best friend, and girls you don't like, and what not. It then moves on to having your very first date, and how excited you become when you get your very first kiss. It talks about how your mom and you stay up talking about how cute the boy is. And like the lines say, "you're dancing around your room, and your thinking he's the one." It also mentions though, that you will move on to better things once you get out of high school. Enjoy it while it lasts, but don't count on getting married some day. It mentions how some friends give all they have to their high school sweetheart, which later may either come back and haunt them, or cause other sad things within the relationship to happen.
This song really tells it how it is for alot of people. Talking about having your first love, and everything. Taylor Swift's songs always are like that, though. They always have alot of meaning, and there is always a group of people that can relate to the words being sung.

"The Snowman" OR post #27

"The Snowman" is a english silent film, about a yound boy that builds a snowman. One evening before he goes to sleep, he looks out the window, and suddenly sees his snowman come to life. He quickly runs outside and brings the snowman back into his house Together, they play dressup, watch TV, and even go flying through the air. The two take a trip to the north pole, where the young boy meets other snowmen. They have a party together, and dance the night away.
When the evening is through, the snowman and the young boy fly back home together. The snowman puts the boy to sleep, and then disappears. When the boy wakes up the following morning, he immediatley runs outside to hopefully play with the living snowman again. Unfortuantely, all he discovers in a melted snowman.
Did the boy ACTUALLY play and fly with the snowman? I don't think you will ever be able to really know.

After some very terrible days of pain and hardship, Bella finaly had her baby. It was a very extreme, abnormal birth, but she finally did it. Bella had always imagined herself with a boy, so she always would refer to the baby as "him" before "she" was born. Yes, she. Bella had a girl. Edward named her "Renesme," a combination of Rene, Bella's mothers name, and Esme, Edward's mother's name.
She was beautiful. The first time Bella ever held Renesme in her arms, she said she felt like crying. She also was smart. Because she was half vampire, she already knew how to talk and walk after only a few days. Bella and Edward were so happy. All they could hope was that everything would stay perfect...for now at least.

Article: Timothy Treadwell, the Grizzly Man

Timothy Treadwell, better known as the "Grizzly Man" was just a normal guy like you and I, except for the fact that he spent most of this time with the grizzly bears. Every summer for 13 years, Treadwell would go up to Alaska and just camp out near grizzly bear sites. He made many documentaries of this journeys and of himself with the bears. There is now a movie out called "Grizzly Man." It is a documentary on him and it included alot of his own footage.
One summer when Treadwell was up visiting, or as he called it 'saving' the bears, something terrible happened (nobody was supposed to know that he was with his girlfriend). The 2 were planning on leacing one afternoon, but Treadwell insisited that he need to stay a few more weeks, for his job had not been complete yet. Amy, his girlfriend, begged to leave, but finally gave up.
One afternoon, the day they were planning on leaving for the second time, Treadwell and his girlfriend were both killed by a grizzly bear. The entire killing was even recorded on his video camera. They say that the bear came behind him, grabbed his head, and well, you know the rest. This is what happens when you come to close to vicious animals such as bears. This is an example like the crocodile hunter...he was killed also. You cannot just "play" with these animals, they are extremley dangerous.

Bella is due to give birth her baby any day now. Since this baby is half human, half vampire, it it s growing way faster than a normal baby would. She is growing close to 3 inches per day. In Jacob's mind, this only means one thing: Bella is on her last days. He is doing his best for his pack, along with trying to take care of Bella. Edward and he have finally sort off made and alliance, since they almost have to because they both love one thing only, and thats Bella. Bella is still drinking blood to keep her from being ever so weak. Jacon had noticed a very big change in her improvement. With only a few days left, Edward and the Cullen family must prepare for this baby...or monster and Jacob would call it. Jacob on the other hand must continue to tend to his pack and still be close to Bella, for he wants to be with her for her last minutes of life.

OR Post #23 Movie: Into the Wild

I watched the movie "Into the Wild" for my blog. It is about a young man, Christopher McCandless, that after his graduation Emmerey just disappears into the wild. He retreats from civilization for almost 2 years. He is determined to finally make it to Alaska. Along the way, he meets several interesting people. A couple of "wonderers," an old man that all he wants to take care of Christopher for the rest of his life, and many others. Throughout the story, he discovers that life is not only about living you dream, but sharing it with other people. After traveling many miles across the USA, Christopher (aka Alex Supertramp) finally makes it to Alaska. He lives his dream for about 80 days. When he is finally ready to go home though, he finds it impossible to cross a certain river in which he must cross to eventually make it back home. He in then sent back to his camp. He becomes very hungrey. One night, he was so hungrey that he wasnt even thinking about what he was eating. He later found that he had eaten poisoness berries. Because he had fallen asleep, and the berries had digested, he was seriously poisionned. He eventually starved to death because the berries were a type that if eaten and not treated right away, they would cause ones digestive system to screw up.
Fortunately, Chris kept a diary about what he was doing every day. When someone finally found his body later on, they also found his notes. His story is well known still today.
