In the beginning of Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final book to the Twilight series, Edward and his beloved Bella finally get married. They honeymoon to a small island called 'Isle Esme' in South America. Isle Esme is the island that Carlisle had given Esme as a gift. While they are there, the newly weds do everything possible. They snorkle, they hike, they swim with dolphins, everything. But one night in the middle of the night, Bella woke up and was feeling very ill. She tried to eat something, but it just tasted awful. She then tried to go back to sleep, but she couldnt. When Edward came back home the next morning (he had been hunting during the night), Bella ran right to him and told him about how she was feeling. Mid sentence, she ran to the bathroom and got sick. That wasnt the last time she got sick that morning, either. Edward called Carlise immediatley. He explained to him what was wrong with Bella. He also told her that Bella had noticed a strange bump on her stomach that had not been there the day before. The prognosis was that she was pregnant.
They came home immediatley. Bella was getting weaker every minute, and her stomach was ballooning. Since this baby was half human, half vampire, it was not only taking all the good things from Bella, but it was also drinking her blood. She was getting worse and worse. Finally, Carlisle had an idea, one in which he had taken from Jacob, who was also sitting right by Bella's side now. It was to drink blood, since that is what the baby wanted. When this began, Bella immediatley started getting better. The funny thing was that she even said that it was tasting and smelling good to her. All the vampires in the room agreed that this was a good thing, for in only a short time, would Bella be a vampire herself.

All my sons-movie vs.book comparrison-OR #21
The book 'All my sons' was about a man, Joe Keller and his family. Joe's son, Larry had gone missing 3 years ago and his ex-fiance was in town to visit. What he and his wife didn't know was that she, Ann, and Joe's other son, Chris, had plans to be married. They had chosen not to tell them yet because Chris' mother, Kate, still believe that Larry would return.
Long story short, Joe and Kate and everyone for that matter later found that Larry had died, he wrote Ann about it. He killed himself because his father, Joe, and Ann's father, George were selling brokenm airplane parts and had killed 21 of his men. Joe at the end also kills himself because he finds that his own son killed himself because of the acts he had committed.
We recently read the book in class, and then watched the movie. The movie surprising was just how i pictured it in the book. I very much so enjoyed the movie, and the book for that matter. The stroy was very suspenseful, yet sad at times. I felt sorry for Joe. No father would intensionaly kill their child (unless of corse they were mentally disabled). Because Larry died on account of what he had done, he took his own life for punishment. At the same time though, I feel that he deserved it. He knew what he was doing. He could have prevented those broken airplane parts from being sold and then from being used and then from KILLING 21 men. But all he said was that he did it because of the buisness. If he hadn't sold them, he would be out of a job. There was alot of controversy in this book/movie. In all, Joe got what he deserved, and everyone else finally heard the end of Larry's mysterious disapperence those long, 3 years ago.

Movie: "It's a Wonderful Life"-OR #20
"It's a wonderful life" is about a man named George Bailey. George had always been known as a great person. As a child, he did many good deeds that saved alot of peoples lives and such. His father, Mr.Bailey, owned a bank with his brother, Billy. George was expected to take over the business when he got older, even though that was not what he wanted to do.
After George graduated, he decided to work for a while to get money for college. Unfortunately, when it was finally his time to go to college, his father suddenly died and he immediatley had to take over the bank. He gave his college money to his brother instead.
As about 4 years past, George got married to a woman named Mary. Mary and he had known eachother or a long time. The day the married, they were going to honeymoon to NYC, when th bank suddenly crashed and George had to give everyone a loan. He had $1000 for his honeymoon, but had to use all of it to give to people for loans.
Years past, and George and Mary had 4 children. Things in the back were not going great, but George still made enough to keep a steady lifestyle for him and his family.
One day, George had given Billy $8000 for the bank. Billy accidently lost it though, and made it seem as though he and George had imbezeled it. George was so angry, that when he got home, he just exploded with anger at his entire family. Mary didn't understand what was wrong with him.
George decided to go for a drive then. He didn't even think of where to park his car when he stopped to get out by the river, he just left in the middle of the road. George looked down into the river and was seriously considering jumping, when he saw someone else jump in. Clarence was his name, and he was George's guardean angel. Clarence told George that he jumped in to save George. They talked for a while, and then George said something he never should have said: he said 'I wish I had never been born." And with that, Clarence made it so.
The two went through a serious of places throughout the town. Nobody knew who George Bailey was, and everything was different. There was no Bailey Bank, people that he had saved their lives when he was younger never had been saved, etc. George saw what it was like not to have lived and saw how much he had imacted peoples lives. He told Clarence he wished to be alive again, and Clarence made it so. George was then happy again. He ran to his family.
While George had been out, Mary was so worried about him, she went and told everyone in town to contribute money to help George. Because everyone cared so much about him, everyone contributed. George was going to be arrested because of the strange money loss, but even the policemen that were going arrest him gave money. They realized that George didn't commit a felony, but that he was a good man. It truly is a wonderful life.

Spotlight: Loyce Houlton's "Nutcracker Fantasy" OR post #19
Loycs Houton's "Nutcracker" has been an enjoyed show for many years. It is about a young girl that gets a beautiful Nutcracker for Christmas from her uncle. During the night, the Nutcracker magically comes alive and the young girl and he go through a series of events together throughout the night. Some of the events include visiting the sugar plum fairy, or batteling with the rat king.
The Nutcrakcer has always been one of my favorite stories. I've seen this play many times. I actually have a friend who participates in Loyce's show.
The show runs through Christmas, and has been going for about 2 weeks now. The people in the show must be quite busy!! I hope I get the pleasure of seeing it again this year!

Antonia-Song for OR post #18
The song "Antonia" by Motion City Soundtrack is a song that the lead singer wrote for his wife. In the song, he quotes her favorite things and says little jokes that they have. My favorite line is "She's really into snow mobiles. She drinks alot of chardonnay." I like this line because it reminds me of my cousin and my mom. My cousin also have a weird obsession with snow mobiles, and my mom always has a glass of chardonnay when we go out to dinner.
Thee song continues, and he later refers to their wedding, their new daughter, and what happened when his wife's father passed away. This song is really cute in my opinion. It shows how much he really loves her, and knows her!!
I only can hope that when i get married someday that I have a guy that writes a song as cute and special and the song, "Antonia."

Now that the fight was over, and in Bella's mind, enough damage had been done, Bella finally decided to let Alice plan Edward and her wedding. Alice was just extatic. She immediatley began to plan. She found the perfect dress for Bella and made the invitation just as Bella would have wanted them to look like. Bella also descided that she wanted to be a vampire no later that August 13th, their wedding night. Edward didn't quite understand why Bella was suddenly letting everything happen everyone else's way. The only explination he could get out of Bella was that she just wanted to make everyone else happy.
Edward didn't like this, though. He wanted Bella to be happy. He didn't care about anyone else but Bella. If she wasn't happy, then he wasn't either.
Bella explained to him that all she wanted was to be his, and forever his. No matter what she had to do, or get others to do, she was going to be his forever and always. There was no way to describe the love Bella had for Edward, and the love Edward had for Bella.

The fight was finally over. Jacob unfortuantely had been severely hurt in the fight. ecause he was a werewolf, he healied incredibly fast. Because of this, his bones set improperly.
When Bella went home before going to La Push, Charlie had just arrived. He told Bella that before she went off and did anything big, getting married for example, that he wanted to know so that he could give her a big "good-bye" hug. Bella agreed.
When Bella arrived at Billy and Jacob's home, Billy sent Bella into Jacob's room. Carlisle said that it would be best for Jacob to recover at home.
Just as Bella had assumed, Jacob had been expecting her. They conversed about his pain and how he was feeling. Then, Jacob asked about how Edward had reacted to Bella kissing Jacob and actually wanting to. Bella told him that he was fine and that he wasn't upset with her.
Jacob was disturbed by this. He had hoped that Edward would have at least yelled at Bella. Jacob loved Bella so much. And Bella loves Jacob. They both agreed that in a perfect world, they would end up together. Bella is in love with her Edward though. She told Jacob that if ever her needed her for anything, that she was just a phone call away. Jacob was not sure if he wanted to stay in contact with Bella after this, for he knew that it would be incredibly hard for the both of them, especially after Bella was married and was a vampire. They love eachother so much, but Bella couldn't live without Edward. And Jacob knew that.

Twilight the Moive OR post #15
On Tuesday the 25th, I saw the new movie, Twilight. I myself have read the book by Stephenie Meyer. I was anxious to see this movie, but I always get concerned when I see a movie based on a book.
I movie was alright, but I have to say I was not thrilled with it. There were too many changes to the movie. For example, in the book when Bella goes to Port Angles with her friends Jessica and Angela, when she breaks away to go look at a book store, she just window shops. In the movie, she actually went in the store and even bought a book! Another example is when Bella and Edward are in the meadow together. In the book, this is the most passionate and important scene. They really begin to fall in love with eachother after this scene. First, in the movie, they were already in love when they went to the meadow. Secondly, they made the scene like 5 minutes long. In the book, the meadow scene takes up alomst 4 chapters. This disappointed me.
These are only a few of the many mistakes and changes in the movie Twilight. I am not saying I didn't like the movie. The actors did do a good job portraying the characters. But I am disappointed on the way the movie turned out. Twilight is my favorite book as of right now. I would read it again and again. The love between Edward and Bella in the book is discribed so perfectly and in depthly that I don't think even the best producer could make a movie as good as the book.

article: Vampire romance 'Twilight' takes $70.6 million bite out of box office in opening weekend
The new movie 'Twilight' based on the novel 'Twilight' by Stephenie Meyer reach an all time high this weekend when it entered the theatres. The movie made $70.6 billion just this opening weekend. The viewers seem to find the movie "extravigating" and they continue to want more.
The romance between the two, Bella and Edward, is undicribable, apparently. It is just what the viewers wanted to see and imagined in their own heads when reading the book. Kristin Stewart is said to portray Bella perfectly. Robert Pattinson is said that he is Edward Cullen.

The fight of the newborns is about to happen, so the vampires need to train. Jasper, the newest to the family, has all of the Cullens meet at the imfamous baseball field (where James and his pack first met them) to practice. He has them all stand in the center while he leaps at them and such. By doing this, it shows them how to react to the newborns coming at them.
Jacob and his pack show up as well. Instead of being in human form though, they are in their wolf form. Bella recognizes Jacob immediatley. The pack decided that the best way for them to be able to track where they would be during the fight was to get their scents. The pack makes the Cullens all line up in a line and they all smell them.
Later, Jacob returend to talk to Edward. They discuss where they will leave Bella during the fight. They finally settle on leaving her in the mountains along with Seth Clearwater, a new addition to the pack. Jacob is told by Edward to carry around Bella for just a short while. Bella doesn't like the idea, but Edward tells her it is so her scent can get mixed up with hers and Jacobs and his. Finally, Edward takes Bella home after the long evening where she falls asleep in his arms.

It was close to graduation, and Alice was throwing Bella a big party. Even though Bella didn't like the idea, she was going to go along with it anyways.
The day of graduation, Bella and Alice figured it out. The newborns were not in Seattle, they were coming to Forks to get Bella. This terrified them both.
At the ceremony, Bella told Edward what they had discovered. Edward's face went white with horror. He immediatley ran off to try to find Alice. He later met up with Bella again to tell her that he would let NOTHING happen to her, and that she would be safe. Bella doubted every word.
At the party back at the Cullen's, Edward wouldn't let Bella out of his sight, until suddenly, Alice shot a glance and Edward. He took off almost instantly. Then, Jacob Black was at the door with 2 of his wolf brothers. Jacob gave Bella a beautiful hang made bracelet that he had made for a grad present. Bella loved it.
Bella finally saw Alice and ran over to her. She asked what she had seen, assuming she had seen something due to Edward's quick leave. Alice said she saw that the newborns were on their way and that one of them had taken a piece of Bella's clothing and had kept it. This scared Bella. Jacob and his brothers then butted in. Since graduation was approaching, Alice insisted on throwing Bella a grad party. Bella complained that she didn't think it was needed, but Alice wouldn't let her change her mind.
One evening, Bella went over to the Cullen's home. There she learned about how the newest vampire of the family, Jasper became a vampire. He told Bella about how he was a general and one day was taken and bitten by a pack of newborn vampires. After that, he joined a clan of vampires. They would take maybe 15 newborns every year, and once they weren't as useful anymore, they would kill the newborns.
This scared Bella. Edward comforted her though, and told her that when she was ready to become a vampire, that she would stay a vampire.
The following day was finals. It was only a half day, and since Edward was going to be off hunting, she asked if she could go down to La Push. He said that was fine, but insisted to drive her to the half way mark. There they met up with Jacob, and he drove Bella the rest of the way.
While they were together, Jacob shared some imformation with Bella that she may have not wanted to hear so much. Jacob confessed to Bella that he was in love with her and that he though that she would be better off with him than Edward. Bella became very angry. She yelled and Jacob that that would never be a better option, for she was in love with Edward, not Jacob. With that, Jacob through himself at Bella and landed a huge kiss upon her face...multiple times! When he was finally through, Bella punched him in the face with all the force she had. Jacob being so muscular and big, had no damage done. Bella on the other hand, broke her hand.
Jacob offered to drive her back home. The rode in silence the whole way. It wasn't until she was with Edward again that she felt better.

It was time for Edward to go hunting again. While he was gone, Alice took Bella captive and made her sleepover at her house for 2 nights. Bella didn't like this idea, even thoguh she knew it was for her safety.
The first night Bella was there, after she had gone to bed, Rosalie came into her room. Rosalie told her about how she had become a vampire. Apparently, she had been raped by her fiance at the time. Carlise had found her and fortunately saved her before ir was too late. Rosalie tried to convince Bella that the descision about becoming a vampire after graduation was a bad idea. Bella protested, and insisted that people stop telling her that, for she knew what was best for her.
Edward awoke Bella in her bed later that night. He told her that he couldn't stand being away from her and so even though he wouldn't be back until the following day, he just had to be with her. Of course Bella was alright with this.
That day was long. Jacob came over while Bella was doing the dishes. When he asked her about when she was planning on making this big descision she had been talking about, he flipped out when she answered. He even cut himself with a knife that he had been helping dry. Fortunately, because Jacob was a werewolf, the scar immediatley became fadded.
When Edward returned, it was like he had never left. While they were toether one day, Bella received her acceptence letter to Dartmouth. She couldn't believe Edward had actually signed her up and that she ACTUALLY got in. Edward of course was happy.
The follwoing day, Bella got a call to go out to La Pusg for a bonfire. She ok'd it with Charlie and Edward of course. When she got there, she found out it wasn't going to be just any old get together. Jacob's friend Quil was just joining that pack. It was his turn to learn how the werewolves really became werewolves. There was a long stroy that Bella had never even heard of. She was so happy to reunite with Edward after the night was over.
The first night Bella was there, after she had gone to bed, Rosalie came into her room. Rosalie told her about how she had become a vampire. Apparently, she had been raped by her fiance at the time. Carlise had found her and fortunately saved her before ir was too late. Rosalie tried to convince Bella that the descision about becoming a vampire after graduation was a bad idea. Bella protested, and insisted that people stop telling her that, for she knew what was best for her.
Edward awoke Bella in her bed later that night. He told her that he couldn't stand being away from her and so even though he wouldn't be back until the following day, he just had to be with her. Of course Bella was alright with this.
That day was long. Jacob came over while Bella was doing the dishes. When he asked her about when she was planning on making this big descision she had been talking about, he flipped out when she answered. He even cut himself with a knife that he had been helping dry. Fortunately, because Jacob was a werewolf, the scar immediatley became fadded.
When Edward returned, it was like he had never left. While they were toether one day, Bella received her acceptence letter to Dartmouth. She couldn't believe Edward had actually signed her up and that she ACTUALLY got in. Edward of course was happy.
The follwoing day, Bella got a call to go out to La Pusg for a bonfire. She ok'd it with Charlie and Edward of course. When she got there, she found out it wasn't going to be just any old get together. Jacob's friend Quil was just joining that pack. It was his turn to learn how the werewolves really became werewolves. There was a long stroy that Bella had never even heard of. She was so happy to reunite with Edward after the night was over.

Eclipse OR post #8
At the beginning of the book, Bella receives a letter from Jacob Black, apologizing for getting her into trouble for turning her into Charlie about the motorcycles. The letter also said that it didn't change anything between the two of them though. Their fight because Edward was back in the picture had torn them apart and it didn't look like that was going to change.
With the end of senior year coming up, Edward has been helping Bella study for finals and with her last minute college applications. Even thoguh Bella would prefere to go with the second option, (turning into a vampire) Edward still insisted she go to college.
Bella had been grounded "for life" as Charlie said, because she ran of to Italy for 3 days. Charlie decided that because of Bella's good behavior lately though, that she could be un-grounded, but that she would have to continue with this behavior. When Edward heard this, he immediatley reminded Bella of the plane tickets to Florida that Esme and Charlise had given her last year for her birthday to see her mother, Renee. He also told her that they were about to expire and that he thought it would be a good idea to go this weekend to see her mom. Edward mentionned this to Charlie, and at first he was not pleased to hear that Edward would be joining Bella in this little trip to see Bella's mom. But when Bella threatened to leave, since she WAS technically and adult now, he decided to lighten up and let it go.
They had a very nice time in Florida over the weekend. Renee was very pleased to see Bella, and Edwrad. When they arrived home, the first thing that happened was the phone rang. Bella answered. It was Jacob. He asked if she was to be at school the following day. She said yes and that was it.
The next day at school, Jacob met up with Edward and Bella in the parking lot. Jacob wasn't intending to talk to Bella, he wanted to talk to Edward. Apparently, the "code" had been broken. The code was that no vampire could bit a human and let them live...meaning that they couldn't be turned into a vampire. Bella didn't understand this, but she knew she was going to have to ask Edward alot of questions in english class.

A National Hero
Every nation needs a hero. Someone you can count on, someone that can be a role model for you and the country. There are many people that I could consider a National Hero. One in particular would be Odysseus from the Odyssey. I would endorse Odysseus as a National Hero because he is strong, brave, and kind.
First, Odysseus is strong. When he is all alone out in the ocean and Poseiden starts a huge storm, he is strong because he doesn't give up. He holds on the entire homes and refuses to let go. (V,162) This is why I think Odysseus is strong.
Secondly, I believe Odysseus is brave. When he is batteling with the cyclopes, he is brave because he tells the cyclopes a lie about his name. Even though there was a chance that the cyclopes woulnd't believe it, he took the chance anyways. (iX, 212) This is why I believe that Odysseus is brave.
Lastly, Odysseus is kind. Odysseus shows kindness when he tells his men not to join him on his journey. He tells them this because he fears their safety and thinks it would be more beneficial if they were to just stay put where they were. (X, 232) This is why I think that Odysseus is kind.

New Moon OR blog 7
Bella descided one day that it would be fun to go cliff jumping. She was supposed to go with Jacob, but at the left minute he cancelled. Since she didn't want to be alone another day, she descided to go alone. When she hit the water though, the waves grabbed her and she began to drown. fortunately, Jacob saved her just in time.
When she arrived home that afternoon, there was a surprise waiting for her. Alice. She had come to stay since she had seen her fall. Jacob came over later that day and told them some very bad news. A local friend of Charlie and Billy's had died. They were going to be going to the funeral later that afternoon. Jacob had to leave immediatley though because he couldn't stand to be in the same room with a vampire.
When Charlie had left to go to the funeral, Jacob came over since Alice had left for a short while. While they were talking, the phone rang. Jacob answered. He said the person on the other line had asked for Charlie and was wondering where her was. Jacob said he was at the funeral, and that was it. Suddenly, Alice appeared with a frantic look on her face. "What did they say?" she asked. Jacob answered, "they asked where Charlie was, and I told them that he was at the funeral. I think it was Dr.Charlise Cullen." This mad Alice even angerer. "NO! That was Edward! He thinks that Bella is dead because he doesn't know that Bella lived after jumping off the cliff! And now that you have told him that Charlie is at the funeral, he thinks that Bella actually is dead!" she replied. Alice then told Bella that they had to go after Edward immediatley.
They caught the next flight to Italy, for that is the only place where Edward could tell the Volturi, the only people that can kill vampires, were to be. They got there just in time, got a fast car, and drove as fast as possible.
When Alice and Bella arrived in the city of Volturi, there was a festival going on. Alice told Bella that fortunately, since she could see the furture, that she saw that the Volturi had said no to Edward's request to die. She also told her though, that he was going to step into the sun instead. This frightened Bella. Alice said he was to step into the sun at noon. When they had finally gotten fulley into the city, Alice told Bella to run as fast as she could to the clock tower where Edward would be. She did as she was told and fortuantely got to Edward just in time to push him out of the was of the light. Edward kissed Bella on the fore head, and then they just stood there for a long moment, so they could embrace the time that they had together now. Bella said it felt as though the hole in her stomach was never there. She was so happy to just be with her Edward again.

New Moon OR post 6
After 2 weeks without communicating with Jacob, Bella finally got up the courage to drive down to La Push and see what this was all about. When she arrived, the house seemed dark. She decided to wait until Billy or Jacob would come outside. Hardly any time had passed before she was startled by Jacob. "What are you doing here, Bella?" he asked. "Can we walk?" Bella replied.
Within moments, Bella and Jacob were walking together throught the woods. Bella asked Jacob why he hadn't been calling her, and all he said was that he had been busy hanging out with his new friends, one of them was the kid, Sam, who Jacob had gone on before that was crazy and terribley mean. Bella wondered why he would be hanging around with him and his friends then. This made Jacob furious. He told Bella that he was not safe for her and that he didn't want to be friends with her anymore. With that, Jacob took off and left Bella alone in the woods.
That night, Bella awoke to Jacob climbing into her window. She was not happy about this. He apoligized about earlier that day and tried to calm her down so that he could explain. He reminded her of the talk that they had had up at the lake about a year ago...the talk in which Bella figued out that her precious, Edward was a vampire. But vampires was not ALL they talked about. Jacob had mentioned something about werewolves too. Jacob then told her to think of the reason why he wasn't safe for her to be hanging around with anymore. He told her that he didn't think it would take her very long, and that when she did figure it out, that it was ok to call him instead of coming over. Jacob then left Bella, leaving her still sitting upon her bed.
Jacob was right, it didn't take Bella very long to figure out the reason. "WEREWOLF." Bella muttered. She couldn't belive what she had just said. Her best friend--a WEREWOLF? How can this be? Bella had to find this out.
The following morning, Bella was out the door before Charlie had even left. She drove to La Push faster than usual. She meet up with Billy when she arrived and then went into Jacobs room to talk with him. Instead of speaking in his room, they went back into Bella's car and decided to drive to the place where they had riden there motorcycles.
On the way up, Jacob told Bella everything. He told her that when she had seen Laurent in the woods that day, the reason that Laurent ran away from her was because he had seen Jacob and his pack coming after him. He also told Bella that they had successfully killed Laurent.
"But what about Victoria?" Bella asked. Victoria was James mate. Laurent had told Bella that Victoria only thought it was fair if Bella were to die. Edward killed her sweetheart, James, and in return, Victoria was going to kill Bella. Mate for Mate. She had thought it would be easier for Laurent to kill Bella than herself, though.
This scared Bella. Since Laurent is dead now, Victoria would be coming to get her. Jacob told her not to worry and that he and his pack would take care of it. Bella told Jacob to be careful though, for Charlie was to be out in the woods that day investigating a supposed Bear sighting. Jacob reassured Bella that he would, as they pulled into the infamous motorcylce spot. There, they were to meet up with Sam and the rest of the pack.

New Moon OR post 5
New Moon is the second in the Twilight series. In the beginign of the book, it is Bella's birthday and she is invited over to the Cullens home for a party. When Bella is opening one of her presents though, she gets a paper cut and a little blood is shead. Since Jasper is the newest to the family and has had the worst time controlling himself, he immediatley jumps at her. Fortunately, Edward was able to block Bella just in time before Jasper could have bitten her.
The next few days were rough. Edward was in a strang mood and Bella could not seem to figure it out. Sge would try to talk to him, but he just wouldnt say anything. Finally, one day after school, Edward asks if he and Bella can go for a walk. There he tells her that he and his family are leaving Forks, for her safety in particualr. Bella is left standing in the woods. Awe struck, she faints and falls uncontious in the woods. Hours pass before she is found by her father, Charlie.
4 months pass. Bella still hasnt gotten over the loss of her beloved, Edward. Though she has recently become better friends with Jacob Black, Billy Black's (Charlie's friend) son. They hung out alot and even fixed up 2 old motor cycles together. Bella is slowly regaining her confidence and hanging out wiith Jacob is distracting her from this hole in her stomach she claims she has.

Heroes in a Box--Women Heroes
There are many different types of heroes: Canadian heroes, African-American heroes, Gay heroes, even Edina heroes. One type of hero that I studied in particular was Women heroes. Over the years, women have majorly impacted the world in various ways. For example, many of these women used their talents and special skills to make a difference. Often times, some of these special ladies became the first of their kind to do something. Another example is many of the women became inspirations to other women. Some fought to live. Others made a difference on how women were to live their lives, women’s rights for example. Here are some famous women heroes:
Eleanor Roosevelt
Anne Frank
Anne was a hero is many ways. She lived through the Holocaust and wrote about it in a diary, which was later dicovered and published. Anne is a hero to people today because she always looked to the bright side. Even when things were hard, she would try to make the best of the situtations. When she and her family were hiding in a small room above her father's office buliding, she constantly wrote that she was confident that she would one day get out of there alive. Unfortunately, Anne and her family were found after two years of being in hiding. They were all taken to concentration camps. Anne died only a few days before she would have been released and be free after all.
Amelia Earhart
Amelia was very heroic and inspirational. She was the first woman to fly a plane across the Atlantic Ocean. Also, she was the first woman to receive the Distinguished Flying Cross, which distinguishes her in combat in support of operations by "heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an aerial flight." Other achievements were that Amelia set many records, wrote some best-selling books about her flying experiences, and was a big supporter of the "Ninety-Nines," which was an organization for female pilots. Unfortunately, Earhart disappeared while flying around the globe in early July of 1937. She was declared dead January 5th, 1939.

Conclusion
As I have studied women heroes, I have found that women are very strong and really have made a difference. The women I studied made that clear. These three women are heroes to me because they really made an impact on our world and lives today. Eleanor Roosevelt was always supportive 110%; Amelia Earhart took chances and never gave up. Anne Frank believed in herself and never doubted herself for one minute. They have shown me that because of them, I too could make a difference, or I too should always believe in myself.

Article response
On November 5th, 1999, 16 year-old Erik Ramsey and a friend went to see the new movie "The Sixth Sense." On the way home, a minivan tried to make a U-turn from the oncoming lane that Erik was on. Erik's friend driving the car was speeding, and they never saw the other car's headlights. Suddenly, the two cars collided, sending the minivan's engine flying out of its chassis. The car Erik and his friend were in, a late model-Camaro, smashed into the curb and flipped over landing upside down on a smal grove of pine trees. Erik's friend escaped with a chunk of metal in his skull. Firefighters stuggled to remove erik from the car.
Erik was taken to the hospital. He was severely injured in many places. He was in the hospital for days. Doctors claimed at first that he was parallized, but after many tests, the doctors found a blood clot in Erik's brain. He was diagnosted with a rare desised called "Locked-in Syndrome."
Dr.Philip Kennedy immediatley came into the picture. He worked in the field of brain-computer interference reasearch. He helped Erik by asking him questions (for he could still hear) that made him think. While being questionned Kennedy set up a monitor connected to his brain. When Erik would think something, it would be heard over a loud speaker.
Erik learned to use this and since he was able to move his eyes up and down, he was able to communicate somewhat that was as well. Eyes up for "yes," eyes down for "no."
Erik's father Eddie majorly contributed to help Erik. He even had their home remodeled so it would fit his Erik's life style. Everyday, Eddie had to do multiple things to help Erik, for example: certain exercises to make Erik's muscles not tense up.
Erik also started to use a letter chart. The doctors found he had a little use of his hand, so they used a letter chart of the computer to help he communicate by spelling out small words.
Unfortuantely, in 2004, Erik came down with a case of pneumonia that sent his back to hospital. When he finally recovered, he somehow had changed. He became much slower than before and he was unable to use the letter chart. He was going to have re-learn how to use it.
Erik eventually found ways to communicate with his family again. Through his eyes mostly. It must have been really hard for Erik's family and friends to have to communicate with his like this. I would never want to have to go through something so heart-breaking. In the end, Erik still in incapable to do anything on his own. Maybe one day, but for now, he just as to wait.

Erik's father Eddie majorly contributed to help Erik. He even had their home remodeled so it would fit his Erik's life style. Everyday, Eddie had to do multiple things to help Erik, for example: certain exercises to make Erik's muscles not tense up.
Erik also started to use a letter chart. The doctors found he had a little use of his hand, so they used a letter chart of the computer to help he communicate by spelling out small words.
Unfortuantely, in 2004, Erik came down with a case of pneumonia that sent his back to hospital. When he finally recovered, he somehow had changed. He became much slower than before and he was unable to use the letter chart. He was going to have re-learn how to use it.
Erik eventually found ways to communicate with his family again. Through his eyes mostly. It must have been really hard for Erik's family and friends to have to communicate with his like this. I would never want to have to go through something so heart-breaking. In the end, Erik still in incapable to do anything on his own. Maybe one day, but for now, he just as to wait.

OR Twilight post 4
The next day was the day that Bella and Edward were to go to Seattle together. When Bella got in the car that morning though, Edward told her he was going to take her somewhere special instead. They drove in Bella's car up to a woodsey place in northern Washington. It was truley beautiful. Edward and Bella hiked all the way to this special place Edward had been talking about--it took them almost 3 hours!
When they finally got to the top, Edward took a seat under a shaded tree while Bella went out into the sunlight. She lay down and took in the nice air. Edward eventually came up next to her. They began to talk.
Bella questioned Edward, and Edward questioned Bella. You could say that they learned alot about eachother that day. Bella questioned Edwards life, and how he became a vampire. He stated that in 1918, he became ill and Carlise (his father figure) saved him, and thats why he is what he is today. Edward on the other hand, questioned Bella about her life back in Arizona--mainly about her mom and her schooling there.
They day came to a close fast. It was nearly dusk by the time they realized that they had been there all day. Bella didnt dreaded walking back again, so Edward decided he would show her how he gets places fast. He told Bella to get upon his back and to hold on tight. He then starting running very fast. They were back at Bella's car in less thatn 2 minutes.
As they drove home, they continued to ask eachother questions. Edward admitted that it at first was hard for him to not want to loose control of himself when he was around Bella, but that he has finaly overcome that challenge. When they got back to Bella's house, Bella invited Edward in. Charlie still hadnt come home from fishing yet.
When Charlie did finnaly arrive though, Edward quickly vanished, leaving Bella alone in her kitchen. Bella knew he didnt actually leave though, so she said a quick hello and goodbye to her father and she darted up the stairs to "get ready and go to bed." She took a fast shower and then ran back into her room to find Edward lying on her Bed.
Edward stayed with her that night. He slept right beside her. Before she fell asleep, she told Bella that she never wanted to be apart from Edward again. Edward agreed. From then on, Edward would stay with Bella everyday and night.

Siddhartha Blog #4
What do I think of Siddhartha's journey? Thats easy. I think it was really beneficial. After following Siddhartha on his journey, I think that he learned alot about life, and I think I saw him learn his lesson best when he was with Kamala.
I think Siddhartha learned alot about life, especially when he was with Kamala. I believe this because he experienced love, life, and even death. He fell in love with Kamala first of all. She was very special to him in so many ways. Secondly, he saw Kamala die due to a snake bite. This was hard for him to deal with. Thirdly, Kamala and he had a son together. After Kamala's death, Siddhartha immediatley took action and took the boy to live with him. These various reasons explain my thought on why I believe Siddhartha learned alot about life.

OR Twilight post 3
When Bella was up north with her friends over the weekend, she found out some strange evidence about the Cullens. She found that they were known to be vampires, but that they didnt hunt people, but animals. This worried Bella. When she got home she immediatley searched vampires on the internet. She found that not too much of what she read related to Edward, so she was slightly relieved.
On Wednsday of that week, Bella and 2 friends went up to Port Angeles to shop for dresses for the dance. Even though Bella wasnt going, she decided to tag along anyway. When the 2 other girls wanted to keep looking, Bella decided that she would wonder down the street and try to find a bookstore. After a while, she realized that she was not only lost, but that she was being followed. She was begining to really panic when a silver volvo pulled up next to her and someone inside said "get in, Bella." she knew it was Edward.
Edward and Bella then met up with Bella's friends. They had already eaten, so they were going to be heading home. Bella hadnt eaten , she Edward offered to go eat something with her and then drive her home instead. They 2 friends said that was fine and they were off.
After dinner, Bella and Edward got in the car, headed for home. But Bella had many questions: She wanted to know exactly what was going on with Edward and his family. After a while, Edward told her that he was truly a vampire. They talked about his thirst for blood and what he really was doing when the sun is out and just "happened" not to be at school. Bella told Edward that she didnt car what he was. This comforted Edward majorly.
This talk brought them both much closer together. By the end of the drive, when Bella was getting out of the car to go inside her house, she realized that she was "inconditionally and irrevocably in love with him."

Winter shortly began and so did the snow. One day in the parking lot, a highschooler began to hydroplan and almost swung right into Bella. He didnt hit her though because right as he was about to, Edward Cullen swung Bella off her feet and into his arms to save her. Bella pondered about this and asked Edward countless questions about how he had gotten there so fast and why he saved her. These questions began to bother Edward. He finally told Bella to stop asking questions and that he didnt want her to be friends with him because he wasnt a the friend type. This aggrivated Bella because she knew that he wasnt telling her something. She also was upset because she just lost Edward.
After the fight, Edward and Bella didnt speak for a while. When Edward made it clear to Bella that he wouldnt be a good friend, they immediatley stopped talking.
About a month passed before Edward and Bella began talking again. It really all started when Bella fainted in biology due to the blood type experiment that they were doing. OR: Twilight post #1
Isabella Swan, better known as "Bella" has recently moved to Forks, Washington to live with her father, Charlie. When she arrives, it is raining and she immediatley feels that she is not going to like it there.
The first day of school was the next day. She meet some nice people who she sat with at lunch. While eating, she noticed a very strange group of people sitting in a far corner of the lunch room. She asks one of her new friends who they are. She replys that they are the Cullen family, the adopted children or Doctor and Mrs Cullen. Bella notices that one of the Cullens in particular, Edward, was extremley good looking. He was very pale with light brown hair. One thing that she noticed in particular though was that his eyes were BLACK.
For the rest of the lunch period, she could not keep her eyes off of Edward. They made eye contact multiple times. After lunch, she goes to biology class and finds that Edward is not only in her class, but is going to be sitting next to her. Bella is happy yet a bit frightened.
Edward was very cold towards her for the whole class. Bella began to worry that he already didnt like her. After school, she saw Edward in the office trying to switch out of biology that hour. Bella immediatley thinks that he is trying to switch out because of her.
A week passes. Edward hasn't been at school since that very first day. Bella is really starting to worry. Finally, the next Monday, Edward is back at school and is unusually friendly towards her. She feels a slight sigh of relief. She then again notices how good looking Edward truly was. But then, she realizes something that sent the chills right up her back: his eyes were hazel, as apposed to the black-ish color they were a week ago.

Dear Advice Columnist,
I need some advice for my friend, Siddhartha. He recently left our town in search of his goal to reach enlightenment and eventually achieve Nirvana. Since then, he has become someone new. He began drinking and eating things that he has never before eaten, like meat for example. Also, he has found love with a woman, Kamala. I think she is part of the problem.
The reason this concerns me is because I fear that when he returns, he won't be the same Siddhartha we all used to know and love. He has fled in the confusion of passion, wine, and even wealth. I want to try to help him get out of this mess and hopefully come back to the person he was. So if you could give me some advice for him, I would be forever thankful.

I know that if my best friend just came to me and told me that he or she was leaving (without any notice for that matter) I would probebly be pretty upset myself. I am going to do my best to help him relieve his pain. I'm sure he is feeling things inside that he isnt sure how he is going to get over. Hopefully with my help, he will be able to recover soon enough though and we will become beter friends in the end!!

Daynita and Buddha
Hello! My name is Daynita. Daynita means 'beloved' in indian. I am 16 years old. I live in India with my parents and 2 siblings. I have many family members on both sides and I also have 2 pets! One cat and one dog. Our family practices the religion called Buddhism
Siddhartha Gautama was the founder of Buddhism. He himself is actually the Buddha. He discovered it but sitting under a tree for 8 days and then acheiving enlightenment. We Buddhists believe that everyone can experience enlighenment and eventually achieve Nirvana by following the 8-fold path!

Self Description
I am a very unique person. I have my own way of doing things. I'm very involved with the theatre and hope to one day become a well known actress on Broadway. I am a competetive dancer, and I am part of my high school's dance team. I take many acting classes and have my own voice teacher. In my free time, I enjoy scrapbooking and traveling. When I visit a very interesting place, I will scrapbook a page or make a scrapbook about the place to remember the fun I had.
